Poets I LoveThis is a featured page

When someone tells poet and teacher Susan Firer they don't like poetry, she responds, "You just haven't found your poem." In this thread, please share "your poem" - the one that drew you in to explore the world of poetry - with us. Tell us or link to information about the poet. And tell us why you like his or her work. .

I'll go first. I love Mary Oliver. She writes with reverence about life and nature. Her work will change you.

Please share with us your favorite poets, add a link to their page or a page about them, or better yet -some of their work. Tell us how you found this poet and why you like his or her work.

I'll go first.

I love Mary Oliver. She writes with reverence about nature, but does not consider herself a nature poet. Oliver has also written some books about the craft of writing poetry. She doesn't have a blog as far as I know, but likes to let her work speak for her. Check out these links.
